Marked Legacies

Futuristic wastelands, floating cities, fated mates (4 to be exact), found family, bad ass FMC, and a sprinkle of trigger warnings. (Seriously make sure to read those before you start mental health is no joke and S.E Alexander makes sure to outline them perfectly) what can i say without giving away to many spoilers.
What’s not to love about a FMC who is badass and is honest in her own self reflection. Nothing bugs me more than when an author makes FMC seem all tough only for her to crumble. With Scarlett she has a reason for why she is playing weak and it’s fully explained. Her growth is amazing she’s kicking her trauma in the butt and not letting it hold her back. Plus let not forget her loveable best friend that truly is her found family.
But let’s talk about those MMC… Where to start we have a our loveable instant connection big guys true ride or die from the moment he lays eyes on Scarlett , then there’s mate #2 our nerdy and supportive who Scarlett in turn helps to get out of his box, we then add in our traumatized alpha hole who hopefully get his redemption arch in the next book and pulls his head out of his butt. The book ends with a twist and we meet mate number 4 but it’s brief .
Overall this book has a lot of back stories but it is clear that each part is key to the underlying character development and isn’t just fluff. If you love books like J Bree Bonds that Tie series mixed with a little Divergent you’re in the right place.

This book is AMAZING! Futuristic Dystopian Wasteland with Floating Cities that give you Divergent vibes. A FMC that’s had enough trauma in her life already but is still a total badass. Scarlett reminds me of Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass. S.E. Alexander does a great job of listing trigger warnings. I was blessed enough to be a beta reader for her and even asked to be an arc reader as well because I just had to read it again.

Marked legacies by S.E Alexander, a dystopian world, 4 fabulous fated mates, touch her/him and die vibes, why choose and a laundry list of trigger warnings (please make sure to read them before starting). This book was so good, I could not put it down.
The FMC Scarlett  is a real badass with/without her mates which I appreciate, nothing is worse than a badass FMC who goes all damsel in distress when she finds her mates, her trauma is intense and as she learns to let it go she only grows stronger. We also meet her found family and best friend, he is witty and funny and offers her unconditional love and support.
The mates: Mate #1 the tall hunky guardian type who instantly falls as soon as he lays eyes on Scarlett and gives us all the wonderful touch her and die vibes. Mate #2 is the lovable nerdy supportive one who helps Scarlett find her softer side. Mate #3 is the alpha hole, who doesn't love bad boys with a whole lot of trauma drama. Mate #4 we only get a peek at.
I loved the world building and the backstory that keeps  the book moving along and is not just filler, I devoured this book and am so glad I was chosen as a alpha reader and can only hope I am chosen for the rest of the series because I can't wait to get my hands on them.

I received this book as an ARC. make sure to read the trigger warnings. S.E Alexander did a great job listing them and with added supports if needed. Mental Health is no joke.
i ABSOLUTELY loved it. I was captivated from the start. roller coaster of emotions. fated mates. badass FMC. alphahole mmc, nerdy mmc, ista love mmc. i cant wait for the rest of the series!!!!

This is easily one of the best books I have read this year! This dystopian world captivated me from the very first sentence of the book. Scarlett is a strong and sassy FMC that doesn’t anything from anyone. This was my first fated mates book I have read and am now going to look for recommendations because i absolutely LOVED it. Scarlett’s mates are just the right balance (minus one because you meet him right at the end). That cliffhanger nearly killed me!
If you like mated mates(more than one mate), strong and independent FMC, touch her and unalive vibes, and dystopian worlds you need to check this book out!
As it being a trilogy, I hope to learn more information on Elena. She started the book strong and likable and then something happened but you don’t really find out. I want to know more, maybe get inside her head a little bit and see what went wrong and see if maybe she will redeem herself (because who doesn’t love a character redeeming themselves).
I hope to arc read the next book because I need it right now!

Vengeful Legacies

Once again SE Alexander has given us an absolutely fantastic book! I LOVED how she was able to bring all of the characters to life, show each of their personalities, keep the story going from the first page of Marked Legacies through to the last page of Vengeful Legacies - and I'm positive she'll keep it going through Mended Legacies (TBA). This book has everything - it's funny, has some action, some emotional parts and of course some spice. I love how each of the characters grow throughout the book and the story just keeps getting better and more intense. That cliffhanger - wow - just wow... can't wait to see what's next!

*warning: if you are reading on a tablet or e-book, please be sure to have an excellent case. I’m talking either otterbox or childproofed. You WILL end up yeeting the damn thing while reading*

Bunnies, and socks, and cheesecake… OH MY!

Ok but seriously, this was so good. This series is the first SciFi/Dystopian with mates that I’ve ever read, and it’s so f*cking good! It’s also my first true ‘why choose,’ and I was NOT disappointed.

Each character is so incredibly developed, and the arcs they experience are well thought out and beautifully executed.

The world building is amazing, with each nitty-gritty detail thought through and accounted for.

The author does a phenomenal job tying things together from the first chapter of the first book all the way through book two.

All this to say- read these books. Go get Marked Legacies first, binge it, and then get this one ASAP. You will not be disappointed.

I have been her fan since I cracked open book one. She does not disappoint in her second book of the series. This book has spice, a great plot, wonderful character development, and it covers almost all the bases you could want. There’s action, drama, comedy, love, heartbreak and so much more. It will make your heart sing in the good moments and break in the bad. It will keep you guessing and yearning for more and more of the story. When I say she delivers-I mean it!! She will not disappoint. And beware the cliffhanger. She’s a master of those!

Dark, spicy, and kickass book! Vengeful Legacies was something I wasn't expecting to enjoy so much. A deadly female assassin who was brought to her knees when she finds her mates! Yes, she has more than one, and each mate brings a different side of her alive, and she is loving it. The book had some twisted and turns throughout, and you can't forget about the dark humor that comes along between mates and those who threaten the ones they love.

“You’re like a goddess who’s come to walk before us mere mortals: breathtaking, awe-inspiring, completely mesmerizing.”
This is the second book in S.E Alexander’s Leukos Trilogy. As this book continues where the first book, Marked Legacies, leaves off the first book needs to be read first.
Scarlett found her last mate as she had been kidnapped. Not knowing where she is, and not having access to her powers, she must escape her kidnapper to get back to her mates and her family. After a successful escape, she learns more information about why people want her and the secrets the high council holds. But during the last mission, something horrible goes wrong, and Scarlett isn’t sure if she can get out of this one.
This book definitely takes you on a wild ride! I loved getting to know her mates more on a personal level, as well has her family. It was amazing to see the change and growth in almost every character. You get redemption, action, heartbreak, and betrayal in this book. And the twists and turns as well as that cliffhanger, needless to say I need more!

Mended Legacies

Such a fantastic ending to an INCREDIBLE trilogy.

World building? Brilliant
Character arcs? Top notch
Banter? Witty af
Smut scenes? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

If you are looking for a sci-fi dystopian series with reverse harem, badass fmc, unhinged love interests, corrupt government, and a storyline that will keep you on the edge? Look no further! This author does it ALL!

My heart!!!!! I stayed up all night reading this book. I cried, i laughed, i swooned and of course i rooted for the rebellion! This why choose, dystopian like trilogy is one of my all time favourite reads. It kept me captivated from the get go. The ending made me cry like a baby!

This might have been my favorite of the 3 books. I have absolutely fallen inlove with all these characters! The whole universe and all the side characters are written so well. This series has definitely been added to my rereads list.

Seriously... the perfect ending to this trilogy! I will be rereading these books for the rest of my life!!!

PHIXMERY

This book was a RIDE!
Military college, secrets, magic, dragons, oh my!
I need more Talyn in my life STAT. I really loved seeing Ravina character grow throughout this story, and if you like sassy animal familiars, you will not be disappointed.
My heart ached at what she had to go through and at the small glimpses of the boys' pasts.
This story did not disappoint, and im desperate to get my hands on book 2 after that whopper of a cliffhanger.

Guess what? S.E. Alexander wrote another book, and I was over the moon! I devoured the Leukos trilogy, and I was blown away by those three books. Sometimes, I’m a bit hesitant to read another series from the same author because the writing can be so similar, and I can predict what’s coming based on the others. But not this time! This is a whole new world, with different characters and everything. It’s incredible how talented this author is. The book was a bit predictable at times, mainly because they’re in a war college and there are dragons. But that’s about it. Oh, and let’s not forget about Nero, her amazing familiar Raven. That Raven is incredible! I can’t stop thinking about wanting to pluck out eyeballs all the time, haha. I need the next book ASAP! I hate waiting for the rest of the series to come out. It feels like a personal attack against me, haha. But seriously, this book is amazing. The female main character is so strong and has such a good heart. She’s been through so much, so she doesn’t trust anyone. But watching her journey was so beautiful. I can’t wait for the next book!

I began Phixmery (pronounced “Picks-merry”) with some hesitation, but the glowing praise from friends encouraged me to dive in—and oh, am I grateful I did. This enchanting debut to the author’s second series hooked me from the first page, leaving me eager to explore her earlier work. It’s a fantasy brimming with magic, fae, dragons, and intricate interpersonal dynamics, standing out in my view for the constant thread of humor in the midst of turmoil and heartache.

Ravina is the lifeblood of this story, a fiercely spirited protagonist whose spunk and resilience leap off the page. Her bond with a raven adds a touch of whimsy, and their relationship sparkles with wit and depth. My favorite character, Nero’s sharp humor had me laughing out loud in public, his zingy one-liners stealing the show. I love that he and I share a love for a good eyeball trope! The cast surrounding them is equally compelling, with a tight-knit group of friends forming amidst shifting alliances and simmering tensions. What sets this apart is how many characters start off unlikeable, with some of them devolving into villains while others grow to overcome their flaws. The recruits’ rivalries crackle with palpable intensity, their anger practically searing through the pages.

The worldbuilding is a triumph, weaving together vivid contrasts: lush woodlands, the stark poverty and anguish reflected in the home we find Ravina in before the academy, and the imposing, austere expanse of Phixmery. Each setting feels immersive, grounding even the darkest moments in a way that invites you in. The academy itself is a brilliant narrative device, serving as the perfect stage to unravel the kingdom’s dynamics, the intricacies of its magical system, and Ravina’s mastery (well, maybe not all the way to mastery) of her latent abilities. The magic unfolds organically, never straining credulity despite its fantastical flair, and the action-packed challenges bookending Ravina’s time at the Academy pulse with adrenaline, balancing deft violence without tipping into gore.

The narrative strikes a delicate balance between the predictable and the surprising. While some plot beats unfold as expected, clever twists—especially a heart-wrenching opener and a maddening cliffhanger—kept me glued to Ravina’s journey. The mysteries woven throughout, from hidden truths about the kingdom to Ravina’s own powers, unravel with satisfying precision. Though marketed as 18+, the romance leans subtle, with minimal “spice” but a promise of more in future installments. The interplay of friendships, rivalries, and Ravina’s bond with Nero kept me more captivated than the romantic threads, though their slow-burn chemistry added a warm undercurrent.

Phixmery is a gem that blends witty banter, immersive worldbuilding, and a cast that grows on you with every page. It’s a story of magic, dragons, and hard-won connections, anchored by a heroine whose journey feels both epic and deeply personal. I’m already counting down to the next book in the series, desperate to see where Ravina’s path leads.

Have a book hangover from Onyx Storm? Then this is your next read! But, you may have another hangover after reading this one! I really liked this book and read it in one full day because I couldn’t put it down. The beginning builds it up and has you asking questions, but it is revealed in time. I love the set up and start of this series and I am impatiently waiting for the next book to see what happens! The world building is immersive and creative, the plot is creative and grips you, and the storytelling is beautiful. The author does an amazing job having you connect with the characters and making them relatable and does an amazing job making you dislike the “villains” in this story. I love the growth of the characters throughout and learning who you can trust and who you can't. Nero, the raven familiar was my favorite and the icing on the cake to make the book that much more amazing. I was wondering how the author was going to write in and flip one specific part, and the twist was perfectly done! Ugh, that cliffhanger at the end killed me though! I NEED to know what happens! I can’t wait for the next book!
